Shawn Berg

Shawn is a Crew Leader at Riemann Painting and one of the company’s most experienced exterior finishing professionals. Since joining in 2011, he has spent the past 14 years mastering the art of painting stucco, siding, and refinishing wood beams and log homes. Known for his expertise in complex scaffold setups—earning him the nickname “The Human Forklift”—Shawn is the go-to expert for tackling challenging exterior projects. His commitment to quality craftsmanship is backed by a Zero Failures Wood Science certification from Sashco, ensuring the highest standards in wood preservation and finishing.

Chris Weisschnur

Chris joined Riemann Painting in 2015 and has grown into a key leader within the company. As a Project Manager, he plays a vital role in overseeing residential and commercial painting projects, ensuring they stay on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. With 13 years of prior experience in the Vancouver region, Chris brought a strong foundation in managing large-scale painting projects. His expertise in organization, efficiency, and problem-solving has made him an integral part of Riemann Painting’s leadership team. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his children and expressing his creativity through photography and music.

Chris Barnett

Chris Barnett is a Red Seal Journeyman Painter and the Lead Project Manager and Estimator at Riemann Painting. Since joining the company in 2007, Chris has honed his expertise through the apprenticeship program and 18 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial painting. His attention to detail and deep industry knowledge ensure top-quality results for every project. When he’s not transforming spaces with paint, Chris can be found exploring the stunning landscapes of the Kootenay region, indulging in his passions for backpacking, hiking, and climbing.

Nicole Wasylowich

Nicole began her career with Riemann Painting in 2010 when her brother, Kim (the owner), invited her to join the team in a sales role. Over the years, her role has evolved, and today, Nicole serves as the Operations Manager, playing a crucial role in the company’s day-to-day success. Her ability to seamlessly manage operations has made her an integral part of the team, proving that working with family can be both productive and rewarding. When she’s not organizing the inner workings of Riemann Painting, Nicole enjoys exploring the Kootenay’s mountain biking trails or kayak camping on the region’s stunning lakes. Nicole also taps into her creative side through pottery, stained glass, and Ukrainian Easter eggs, nurturing her passion for art and craftsmanship.

Kim Wasylowich

Kim Wasylowich is the owner of Riemann Painting and a Red Seal Journeyman Painter with over 31 years of experience in the industry. His extensive expertise spans residential, commercial, and industrial painting systems, making him a seasoned leader in the field. Kim took the reins of Riemann Painting in 2003, where he has successfully built a cohesive team of skilled painters and fostered a work environment centered on continuous learning and professional growth. He is a strong advocate for apprenticeship training, believing it is essential in developing the most qualified and knowledgeable painters with a diverse skill set. Outside of work, Kim enjoys sailing off Vancouver Island or kayaking the tranquil Kootenay lakes with his family, embracing the beauty of the great outdoors.
